Most popular event style trends for 2023 and why you should ignore them

Event style trends can be alluring, but it's important to remember that they are fleeting and may not align with your personal taste or the overall theme and atmosphere of your event. Instead of getting caught up in the latest fads, focus on creating an event that truly reflects you and your guests, I also recommend reading my blog post on 'Do's and Don'ts' for your wedding or event.

color schemes that are predicted to be popular in 2023 are Nature-Inspired, Neon Brights, Minimalistic and Pastel. Each color scheme is unique and creates a different atmosphere, they are all stunning and often can be the right choice to make your special event or wedding perfect, but as you read further, you will see why I caution on chasing the 'trends', though in saying that there are certainly some creative ideas for 2023 styling, this 'Guide to 2023 Wedding Trends' certainly was inspiring to read.

One of the main reasons why I make the dramatic statement to ignore event style trends is really just to make people aware that they can quickly become dated. What is popular this year may not be in vogue next year, and you don't want your event to look outdated in photos or memories. Instead, opt for classic and timeless elements that will stand the test of time.

I would caution against employing the services of an event planner that automatically recommends a trend with no personalization, this doesn't show any creativity at all on their part and can be a red flag.

Another reason to ignore event style trends is that they can be costly. Keeping up with the latest trends can put a strain on your budget and divert resources away from other important aspects of your event. Instead, focus on investing in quality and meaningful elements that will have a lasting impact.

It's also important to consider the theme and atmosphere of your event. Trends may not align with the overall vision and message you want to convey. For example, a formal black-tie event may not be the best fit for a bohemian-inspired trend. Instead, choose elements that align with the theme and atmosphere of your event and enhance the overall experience for your guests, go with your heart and soul, not the first thing you read on a magazine cover.

In conclusion, event style trends can be tempting but ultimately, it's more important to create an event that truly reflects you and your guests, rather than following fleeting trends. Prioritize timeless elements, stay within budget and ensure that the event aligns with the theme and atmosphere of your event. This will help you create an event that will be remembered for all the right reasons.
